Plan your retirement
Retire earlier or work longer? More pension now or just later? There are more options than you think. See what choices you have.
Retire earlier
Many people want to retire earlier. With us you have the possibility to decide when you retire. With our pension fund, you retire at 68 years of age.
You may also retire earlier. You can retire from age 57.5. Your monthly pension benefit will then be lower. This is because the accrual of your pension stops earlier and it has to be paid out over more years. If you retire before your AOW pension age, you will not yet receive an AOW pension from the government.
More pension for you or your partner
When you retire, you can mutually exchange the old-age pension and the partner's pension. This means converting the partner's pension into an extra retirement pension or vice versa.
In addition to your old-age pension, you build up a partner's pension. This is pension that your partner receives when you decease. The partner's pension partly compensates for the loss of your income.
Extra retirement pension
You can convert the partner's pension into an extra retirement pension for yourself. Your partner must agree and sign for it. You will receive a higher pension benefit for yourself later. If you die, your partner will receive no partner's pension or a reduced partner's pension. If you do not have a partner, we automatically convert the accrued partner's pension.

Extra partner's pension
You may convert part of your old-age pension into additional partner's pension. If you pass away, your partner will receive a higher partner's pension.
Part-time retirement
Are you about to retire, but do you not want to stop working completely? Or do you want to take part of your pension in advance, while continuing to work? You can then opt for part-time retirement. You can then retire partly and you also have the option to continue working partly. If you opt for part-time retirement, you will receive less old-age pension. You will no longer build up pension for the part that you no longer work. In addition, the part of your pension that is already starting must be paid out over a longer period.
A temporarily higher benefit
You can adjust the amount of your pension with us. You start with a higher pension on your retirement date and then continue with a lower pension.
Lump sum
Withdraw part of your total accrued pension in one go? You will probably be able to do this from January 1, 2026 when you retire. This new choice is one of the components of the new pension system. With a lump sum, you can withdraw a maximum of 10% of your old-age pension. You will receive this amount from us in one go. Your lifelong old-age pension will be lower as a result.
You can choose how you spend your lump sum. For example, you can pay off part of your mortgage. Or you can use it to go on holiday. Your lifelong pension will be lower as a result. If you have a partner, he/she must also give permission for 'Lump sum'.
Making your choices
Six months before the standard retirement age of 68, you will receive an information package from us about the choices regarding retirement. You can inform us of your choices in it. Our pension provider, Appel Pensioen, will then arrange your pension choices and inform you about the amount of your pension.
